Under-Eye Treatments in Muswell Hill — Dark Circles, Hollows and Tiredness Explained

Of all the concerns our clients bring to us at our Muswell Hill clinic, under-eye issues are consistently among the most common — and the most emotionally impactful. Being told you look tired when you feel perfectly well is disheartening. Being unable to correct it with concealer alone is frustrating.

The good news is that modern aesthetic medicine offers genuinely transformative solutions for under-eye concerns — and the results, when delivered by a skilled clinician using premium products, can be remarkable.

This guide explains everything you need to know.

Why Do Under-Eye Concerns Develop?

Under-eye concerns are caused by several different factors — often working together:

Cause

What it looks like

Volume loss

Hollowing, shadow, sunken appearance

Pigmentation

True dark colouring of the skin

Thin skin

Veins and structures visible through the skin

Fluid retention

Puffiness and bags

Loss of collagen

Crepey, fine-lined skin texture

Genetics

Some people are simply predisposed

Understanding which of these is driving your concern is essential to choosing the right treatment — which is exactly why a thorough consultation is always the first step.

The Treatments We Offer at Our Muswell Hill Clinic

Tear Trough Filler — For Hollowing and Volume Loss Tear trough filler is one of the most transformative treatments in aesthetic medicine when done correctly. A very small amount of premium hyaluronic acid filler is placed precisely along the tear trough — the groove that runs from the inner corner of the eye towards the cheek — to restore volume, reduce shadow and create a smoother, more rested appearance.

It is also one of the treatments most commonly done badly. Tear trough filler requires exceptional anatomical knowledge and precise technique — in the wrong hands it can create lumpiness, a blue tint (the Tyndall effect) or an unnatural result. At our Muswell Hill clinic, this treatment is carried out exclusively by Rosie — our GMC-registered clinician — using only premium, reversible hyaluronic acid filler.

£300. Includes follow-up appointment.

Lumi Eyes (PDRN Polynucleotides) — For Dark Circles and Tired Skin Lumi Eyes is one of the most exciting under-eye treatments to emerge in recent years. A polynucleotide formulation specifically designed for the delicate under-eye area, it works by stimulating cellular regeneration — improving skin quality, reducing pigmentation, increasing hydration and creating a genuine brightening effect.

It is particularly effective for clients whose dark circles are driven by thin skin or pigmentation rather than volume loss — and works beautifully in combination with tear trough filler for comprehensive under-eye rejuvenation.

£160 per session. Course of three recommended.

PRP Mesotherapy — Natural Regeneration Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy uses your own blood's growth factors — concentrated and reinjected into the under-eye area — to stimulate natural collagen production and cellular repair. It is an entirely natural approach with no foreign substances introduced to the skin.

Results develop gradually over several weeks and improve progressively with each session in a course of three.

£220 per session.

Plinest / Nucleofill Eyes — Advanced PDRN A more concentrated polynucleotide formulation for more advanced under-eye concerns — particularly effective for significant skin laxity, deep hollowing or clients who have not responded fully to lighter treatments.

£220 per session.

The most important thing is having an honest conversation with a qualified clinician before any treatment. Some under-eye concerns — particularly significant bags caused by fat prolapse — are not suitable for injectable treatment and require a different approach. We will always tell you honestly whether a treatment is right for you.
